OSAMU OHTAKE Osamu Ohtake is founder and president of Semicon Research Ltd., which was established in June 1989 in Tokyo. Prior to starting thepresent business, he spent 10 years with Dempa PublicationInc. and 6 years with Dataquest Japan Ltd. While he was with the DempaPublication Inc., he worked as a journalist and Component Group Manager for Dempa Shimbun, a daily electronics industry newspaperpublished in Japan. Major area he covered were semiconductor and electronic tubes. He also author reports on the Japanese VLSIproject and on the semiconductor materials and equipmentmarkets. In 1983, Ohtake joined Dataquest Japan Ltd. as Research Manager of Japanese Semiconductor Industry Service and developedthe company's information services in the semiconductor field. He was later promoted to Director of Japanese Semiconductor Group.Ohtake, born in June 13, 1950, is a graduate of Tokyo Electrical University, where he specialized in Communication. He is the author of "Semiconductor Trading Company", which was published in August 1990 by the Nihon Keizai Shimbun (the JapanEconomic Journal). |
